A city councilman, Mark Easton, lives in this 'well-to-do' new-ly built neighborhood. He had a beautiful view of the eastern mountains, until a new neighbor purchased the lot below his house and started to build on it. Apparently, the new home was 18 inches 'higher' than the city ordinances would allow, so Mark Easton, mad about his lost view, and knowing he had 'some' kinda pull,..... went to the city to make sure they enforced the lower roof line ordinance.

Mark and his new neighbor had some great arguments about this as you can imagine - just not great feelings. In the end, the new neighbor had to drop the roof line - no doubt at great expense.

Recently, Mark Easton called the city and informed them that his new neighbor had now installed some vents on the side of his home. Mark and his family do not like the look of these vents and they've asked the city to investigate. Reluctantly, they again went to Mark's home to see the vent view,....and this is what they found...

There drew he forth the brand Excalibur,
And o’er him, drawing it, the winter moon,
Brightening the skirts of a long cloud, ran forth
And sparkled keen with frost against the hilt:
For all the haft twinkled with diamond sparks,
Myriads of topaz-lights, and jacinth-work
Of subtlest jewellery.
