Hello, I don't post much on this site, but recently I thought why? It was mainly because of the 'sheep effect'. Like the others aren't posting so I won't as well, but then I thought its only because we have few people here. I think we need to tell others about this site on facebook and orkut, because although its new, this forum has lots of cool stuff and the updates are really good, so i like this site alot. The admin seems to put in a lot of effort too. Its often sad how good sites go down like this. I've witnessed that often.

you need TLD admin 1st of all . secondly navigation of the forum is really hard and strange. you need to work on it. i guess it's already made and setup forum. get rid off this and get your own place

I'm reading it, but what does TLD stand for? The Navigation is hard, you say, I can change stuff to make it better, plus you say get your own place, I'm sure that would be nice but I need to learn a bit more of Tables and stuff in html; not to mention I've downloaded a copy of the phpbb2 from the phpbb website and am sorting it out, looking at things and how they work, setting things like I want and so. So prolly ill soon get "my place". Your help would always be appreciated.

Ok, I got a nice domain at my.dot.tk. Its http://artfraction.tk , which at the moment refers to this website, which I can change anytime.
Btw, I've found out a bad thing as well. Forumotion.net doesn't allow a database export, not even with money, so the quicker I have a site on my own, the better, as I plan to copy all posts manually now and the users are mostly my friends. You were absolutely right, if I had got to know this information even a few months later, it would have become a major problem in the future if I ever wanted to get a real domain>>website.
Btw, are you planning to ftp upload a vbulletin forum to your own webhost and then relinquish hold to me, or something like that, and then I could use the free TLD as a redirection, right? I'm new at this stuff so any information would help a lot. Correct me in any way if im wrong.

there is not need of .tk domain, you can't get DNS support with it. the rank of .tk domanis are quite low sometimes you can say almost dead cause during SEO it's shows only real link instead of .tk domain

You are right about .tk domains and DNS support. Btw you really got me going there, and I've set up forums on my own. I know you put in a lot of effort, but I realized something. Its useless to let someone give you everything on a big silver platter.

So, I painstakingly drew up lots of plans and ideas, and therefore, I set up my own site, on a separate webhost. No doubt your webhost may probably be better, but since now I KNOW how things work, especially about the MySQL databases, and the vbulletin script. Oh yea, I forgot to mention some very important things as well, I got myself a vb script, 3.7.3 patch level 1, the exact same version of yours (don't ask me how) and uploaded it and made it into a forum.

I also registered a domain for the site at www.artfrac.co.cc, just to play around with it and see how DNS works. I sort of made changes to the domain it served at the webhost, so now it will take 48 more hours for it to point back to the correct link.
Soon, it will point to http://fracoverlord.hostmysite101.com *10 GB space, 10GB bandwidth* don't scold me if I was a noob at this, but I can always change servers, more like, I don't need that much bandwidth at the moment, and if i would in the future, I'll definitely be able to buy something awesome @under $15. Don't wanna be a burden on you.

However, you can have a look at the forums I've set up myself. I know you must be angry that I wasted 5 hours of your work time, when I could have done this all myself, but rest assured, I definitely couldn't, sure I knew about stuff from theory and word of mouth from my cousin but had never done it myself. You really got me going. If you'd like you can remove the site you created from your webservers.

Thanks Man, You were a real life saver. That database non-export thingy on this site (forumotion.net) would have been a real life sucker at a later stage in the development of this forum.
