Speed Sketch #1:
Did this in about 15 min. Was thinking of Pakistani women and birds.

Speed Sketch #2:
Did this in 2-3 min, prequel for another artwork.

Speed Sketch #3:
Did this in 15 min, while sitting on a bench in lums.

There drew he forth the brand Excalibur,
And o’er him, drawing it, the winter moon,
Brightening the skirts of a long cloud, ran forth
And sparkled keen with frost against the hilt:
For all the haft twinkled with diamond sparks,
Myriads of topaz-lights, and jacinth-work
Of subtlest jewellery.

@ cookiemonster
art is a venture that requires hard work, practice and the knowledge of how that which might seem inferior to other art works is but a stepping stone towards learning and getting better.
The fact that these were uploaded is perhaps proof of all the aforementioned disciplines.
So, no -
a) they arent that bad. they're experimental. you learn a trillion times more from your mistakes than you do from your successes; this is specially true when it comes to art.
b)"speed sketching" is a discipline whereby one is able to discover a technique to effectively portray (usually to himself) that which he can later work on (or not, as the matter might stand). As such, these art works may contain more for fracOverlord than you might be able to perceive.
They were perhaps posted for the express reason of allowing an opportunity to others to discern the technical aspects of being able to capture a "moment" or an "image" quickly for later work to be added on to it.
c)Next time, with your critiques, try to be a bit more professional.

@ FracOverlord
interesting way to speed sketch. sparse but interesting -
i wont delve into the technical aspects of it till i see some more work.
Look up some of the sketches by Toulouse Lautrec - you'll find his way of capturing "moments" quite unique and singular.

Cheers.
